Brisk
weather has been sweeping across the country, causing people to hunker
down in their homes wanting to cook a warm hardy meal, instead of
venturing out in the cold.
Below is a delicious and unique recipe from Steve Tevere,
Executive Chef of The Carneros Inn, a PlumpJack Resort in the Napa
Valley. Steve recommends this decadent lamb dish to be paired with the
2008 CADE Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. The flavors of the wine
and the dish complement one another and make the dining in experience
that much more enjoyable. |

When it comes to holiday gift giving, it’s
tempting to take the easy way out – a tie for dad, a fruitcake for the
neighbor and a meat-and-cheese assortment
for the office. If wine is on your gift list or holiday menu, though,
you don’t want to cut corners…but how do you choose the perfect bottle
that adds enjoyment and adventure to the holidays without blowing your
budget? Seasons 52, the fresh grill and wine
bar, has some answers for you, courtesy of Master Sommelier George
Miliotes. |

From the wine writer hailed by theNew York Timesas a “disarming
everywoman” and billed by theFinancial
Timesas “a new force in the wine writing world,” comes
a unique bargain-hunting journey …Wine is one of the great pleasures in life, but with so many choices,
regions, and styles to choose from, it can be a daunting task to choose the
right bottle to accompany a rack of lamb, Sunday picnic, or as a gift for a
friend with a rather discerning palate. Named the World’s Best Drink Writer by the World Food Media Awards
and winner of four James Beard Foundation Journalism Awards, Natalie MacLean knows a thing or two about wine. |

Declaration to Protect Wine Place & Origin, a global movement aimed
