Lt.
Governor Jay Dardenne is traveling to New York this week to seek new
visitors to Louisiana, as he participates in an authentic
Louisiana-themed swamp experience re-created in the heart of Manhattan.
Presented in partnership with HISTORY, the network that airsSwamp People,
the exhibit is located inside Chelsea Market and features a complete
12,100-square-foot swamp ecosystem, including live alligators, turtles
and a wide array of vegetation native to Louisiana. The Louisiana
experience is rounded out with Cajun and Creole food provided by Chef
John Folse, live music by Henderson, La. |

As details of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant – one of the largest public events ever held in London – are today announced, VisitEngland looks at other Jubilee celebrations scheduled across the country
Marking
60 years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, the Diamond Jubilee
celebrations will centre around an extended weekend in England from June
2 – 5, 2012. Officially unveiled this morning, the Thames Diamond
Jubilee Pageant on Sunday, June 3
will see a procession of 1,000 boats travel down the River Thames, from
Battersea to Tower Bridge, flanking the Royal Barge which will
transport the Queen.

The

Powder Smiles from Skiers and Riders All Over the Mountain
TELLURIDE,
Colorado (January 22, 2012) – Mother Nature smiled on Telluride last
night with 20 inches of new snow, and the mountain was
buzzing with powder smiles this morning. Already boasting some of the
best conditions in the country this season, skiers and riders raced to
old
secret stashes and new glades. Revelation Bowl was so deep that it will
take Patrol until tomorrow to control and open it, setting up for
another

Jackson, Mississippi – A
new festival premieres in downtown Jackson at The Art Garden at the
Mississippi Museum of Art on Saturday, January 28, 2012, from 2 to 9
p.m., as a result of a call from the producers of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern to Jackson chef and raconteur Tom Ramsey.
The 2012 "Appetite for Jackson" festival

ecosystems, will make a port call in Savannah on January 20-26,
