Finances Stabilized Company Seeks Transformative 2012
Georgia Shakespeare announces that the Company has met and exceeded the
$500,000 emergency fundraising campaign goal set for the end of 2011. More
than 2,000 supporters have contributed more than $515,000 to the “Save
Georgia Shakespeare” campaign thus far, with additional donations still
arriving.
On
September 9, the company issued a public plea for support, seeking to
raise $150,000 in two weeks to keep its doors open, with an additional
$350,000 needed by year’s end to restore financial stability. |

The Alliance Theatre welcomes back The Second City, Chicago’s legendary comedy theatre, with its new hit SEX AND THE SECOND CITY: A ROMANTIC DOT COMEDY.
For the past three seasons, The Second City has produced Atlanta-centric holiday shows with Too Busy to Hate…Too Hard to Commute, Peach Drop, Stop and Roll and Miracle on 1280 Peachtree Street. Back
for the fourth year, The Second City will bring an entirely new
