Renowned
culinary event to donate proceeds to local charitable organizations The 11annualAtlanta
Chapter of Les Dames d’ Escoffier International’sAfternoon in the Country, held Sunday,
November 6, 2011, at Serenbe raised $80,000 for local organizations that
educate and bring awareness to the Georgia farming community. Foodies at the
event, which continually sells out each year, enjoyed a food and wine
extravaganza featuring more than 80 regional chefs, fine wines and micro-brews,
a one-of-a-kind cake raffle, an expanded silent auction, live music and
hayrides. |

Frans Chocolates, CocoaCuvee, Olive &
Sinclair and Valrhona Chocolates, the French chocolate used by
Star Provisions and Bacchanalia’s own pastry chefs. Each day, the
companies will share the history and flavors of their unique products to Atlanta’s chocolate

 Go two blocks in any direction and there is a new hamburger
place opening offering every variation that can be done to ground beef. And
that’s great because a good old hamburger is about as American as apple pie.
But another great American staple – the hot dog –hasn’t
become the culinary darling of restaurateurs and diners alike. But that could
change with HD1, the new Poncey-Highland eatery that showcases the hot dog and
