Four Atlanta Mayors to Attend Buckhead Business Association Annual Luncheon


The Buckhead Business Association (BBA) is pleased to announce that in addition to keynote speaker Ambassador Andrew Young (a former Atlanta Mayor, himself), former Atlanta Mayors Sam Massell and Shirley Franklin, and current Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed will attend at the 2012 Buckhead Business Association Annual Luncheon on Thursday, January 19 at the Atlanta History Center, as BBA celebrates 61 years of service to the Buckhead community.  In addition to Ambassador Young’s remarks, BBA will present the Buckhead Business of the Year Award along with several other BBA annual awards.

Six Flags Over Georgia to Fill 2,400 Positions for 2012 Season

The search is on for individuals interested in becoming roller coaster operators, cotton candy makers and funnel cake fryers.  Six Flags Over Georgia, the largest theme park in the Southeast, is looking to fill 2,400 seasonal positions to help kick off the park’s 45 anniversary season when it opens on Saturday, March 17.
Interested applicants must complete an online application atsixflagsjobs.com.  Applicants are encouraged to complete applications by Friday, January 20 to be considered for an invitation-only hiring event that will take place in late January.

Mayor Kasim Reed will hold a press conference to discuss the Enterprise Fund for the Atlanta Office of Buildings and Ordinance.  The press conference will be held at City Hall on November 29, 2011 at 9:15 am.  Commissioner James Shelby and Don Rosenthal, Director of the Office of Buildings, Michael Paris, president and CEO of the Council for Quality Growth and John Ferguson, president of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors will also be on hand to discuss the importance of this legislation.
