Brisk
weather has been sweeping across the country, causing people to hunker
down in their homes wanting to cook a warm hardy meal, instead of
venturing out in the cold.
Below is a delicious and unique recipe from Steve Tevere,
Executive Chef of The Carneros Inn, a PlumpJack Resort in the Napa
Valley. Steve recommends this decadent lamb dish to be paired with the
2008 CADE Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. The flavors of the wine
and the dish complement one another and make the dining in experience
that much more enjoyable. |

I was recently reading one of the many restaurant industry
trade publications I subscribe to, a favorite this time of year because I love
to see what they all think will be hot trends for 2012. One of the first
trends listed for 2012 inRestaurant Businessis “Southern
Comfort.” As a southerner, born and raised, this of course makes me
happy. From an early age, a few of my favorites were buttermilk biscuits,
grits, banana pudding, and my great grandmother’s chicken and dumplings… A dish
that I still haven’t perfected after roughly 40 tries. |

The
Levinson Brothers Journey toward Starting an Online Mexican Supermarket For the Levinson brothers, the scent of delicious food
wafting through the house has been something they grew up with and learned to
associate with the comforts of home. Growing up in Monterrey, Mexico
brothers Roberto, Joseph and Dan got to experience delicious and authentic
Mexican cuisine almost daily. The three brothers had wondered repeatedly why
these great tasting Mexican products weren’t easy to find in America, being so close to the border that they
decided to make it their mission to share their culture with all of America. |
