Artists from around the globe to compete for
$10,000 in prizes Alys Beach,
in conjunction with Visit South Walton, invites artists from around the globe
to submit original digital artwork for the Fifth Annual Digital Graffiti
Festival at Alys Beach, a one of a kind juried venue for projected art. Artists
will compete for $10,000 in prize money, awarded in five categories. All work
selected for the 2012 festival will be eligible for the awards, to be held on
June 89. Alys
Beach opens its doors, courtyards, and pedestrian paths to groundbreaking
international artists who literally transform the entire resort town into a
living work of art. |

shows like So You Think You Can Dance™ and Dancing with the Stars™,
local Atlanta non-profit, The Eating Disorders Information Network and
Dance 101 are joining forces again for the 2011 Celebrity Dance
Challenge™. The event is Saturday, Dec. 3 from 7 – 10 p.m.and tickets are on sale now: http://www.woodruffcentertickets.org.

LEGO Lovers Can Vote for Winning Attraction Highlights via Facebook through November 17
In October, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta launched
a contest to select which area landmarks will appear in its signature
MINILAND® portion of the attraction. The city weighed in by offering
nominations through the LEGOLAND Discovery Center website. Community
excitement for this anticipated opening at Phipps Plaza continues to
grow as LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta announces the top 20
contenders to get the LEGO® treatment. |

It’s that time of the year again. Jack-o-lanterns, candy and cobwebs are everywhere, and if you’re anything like me, you’re probably standing in line at your local Halloween store, waiting to purchase last-minute accessories for your costume (and reading this from your smart phone because the line is so long). But once your costume is fully complete, your only worry will be narrowing down which Halloween party to go to (and make sure your costume IS complete, since almost all of these parties are having $1,000 costume contests! |

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta is getting creative to get the
community involved. Beginning October 21, brick buffs can vote online to
choose which celebrated Atlanta landmarks get the LEGO® treatment. The
winning Atlanta icons will be immortalized in LEGO bricks and featured
in the MINILAND® portion of the attraction.
